Car seat checks at Wiscasset Speedway on June 28
The Department of Highway Safety will be available at the Wiscasset Speedway for Touch-a-Truck on June 28 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for car seat checks for interested families.
Representatives will be checking to make sure car seats are installed correctly and are age, weight and size appropriate.
This service is free to all families.
Touch-a-Truck features dozens of vehicles- antique, construction, emergency and race cars, plus music, picnic lunch by Hannaford, Kid Zone with bounce house sponsored by the Kidz Closet, rides around the track, Darling’s Ice Cream for a Cause, karate demonstration by MIKA, and touch tank from the Maine State Aquarium.
Touch-a-Truck: Wiscasset Speedway is presented by Renys and goes to support the Maine Chapter of the March of Dimes, whose mission is to prevent premature birth, birth defects and neonatal death through research, programming, advocacy and education. All money raised for the Maine Chapter is distributed in Maine through programming such as NICU Family Support at Maine Medical Center and Centering Pregnancy at Midcoast Hospital and Maine General.
Touch-a-Truck is sponsored by Hannaford, Renys, Kidz Closet, The Animal House, LincolnHealth, Atlantic Motorcar, The First, Duck Puddle Campground, Cheney Insurance, Norm’s Used Cars, Camden National, Clark Farms, Supplies Unlimited, Wiscasset Newspaper/Boothbay Register and Julie’s Critter Care.
