Kids’ printmaking workshop with Keith Rendall
Young people aged 9-14 with an interest in making block prints are invited to learn about the process in a hands-on workshop with master printmaker R. Keith Rendall. The event, which is sponsored by Sheepscot Valley Conservation Association as part of its year of exploring art and nature, will be held at the Rendall Fine Art in Wiscasset on Thursday, June 25 from 1 to 4 p.m.
Rendall is an expert printmaker and artist with many years of experience working with youth. He retired recently from teaching at Lincoln Academy in Newcastle.
Participants in the workshop will prepare their own linoleum block and learn about how a fine art print is made. There is a $10 materials fee. Space is limited and preregistration with SVCA is required by June 19. For more information, call the SVCA office at 207-586-5616, visit www.sheepscot.org, or like us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/sheepscot.
The gallery is located at 65 Main Street in Wiscasset. More information about the artist can be found at www.rkeithrendall.com.
