Heroes at reading program
The Wiscasset Public Library had two fantastic presentations for the 2015 Summer Reading Program featuring Heroes. First, Chewonki brought bats, spiders and an owl to the library to demonstrate the natural powers these creatures have and how super heroes adapt from those original powers.
Second, Ben Bulkeley showcased different techniques on how to create you very own comic strip with drawing instruction and storyline creativity. These programs are such a fun way to encourage children to continue reading and visit their library throughout the summer.
Following a presentation by the Lincoln County Animal Shelter on Tuesday, July 14, Vermont’s PuppeTree performance will be on Tuesday, July 21, at 1 p.m. Hope to see you there!
