Photography show opening at the Damariscotta River Grill
The Art at The Damariscotta River Grill series will host photographers Stott Carleton from Edgecomb and Joe Devenney of Jefferson in a show running Oct. 26 through Dec. 7.
An opening reception will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 2 from 4-6 p.m. Come meet the artists and sample creative appetizers by Chef Rick Hirsch.
Lobsterman Stott Carleton's roots to the coast of Maine predate the Revolutionary War. Living on the Sheepscot River has given him plenty of opportunity to pursue his love of art and especially photography. Stott likes to photograph images on or near the water to capture the beauty and wonderful feeling nature can bestow.
Joe Devenney has been a photographer for 30 years and photographs vibrant and colorful landscapes, still lifes, movement and junk piles. His sense of design is influenced by a broad range of objects, from ancient Ming vases to modern pin ball machines, as well as Fauve and other early modern painters.
All artwork is for sale.
Damariscotta River Grill is located at 155 Main Street in Damariscotta.
