Coastal Senior College classes included in adult ed winter catalogs
For the first time, Coastal Senior College’s winter classes will be included in both the Central Lincoln County /RSU 40 Adult Ed catalog and the Five Town CSD Adult Ed catalog. A big thank you goes to Ellen Dickens and Susan Taylor, directors of CLC and RSU 40 Adult Education respectively, and to Tim Dresser, the director of Five Town CSD Adult Education, who have generously made space available in their catalogs to include an introduction to Coastal Senior College, a description of the CSC winter classes, and information about registration. As a result, in addition to a remarkable number and variety of excellent adult ed class offerings, seniors over 50 will now have the option to learn about Coastal Senior College and enroll in one or more of its daytime classes.
Coastal Senior College offers fall, winter, and spring classes designed for those age 50 and older who want to learn for the fun of it: no tests, no homework, and no evening classes. Instructors, often retired college professors or experts in their fields, are knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects. For example, Helen Shaw, president of the Maine Genealogical Society, will teach research techniques in “Climbing Your Family Tree.” In all, nine classes will be offered this winter trimester.
CSC classes are held once a week in a variety of Lincoln or Knox county locations. If the information in your adult ed catalog piques your interest and you want to learn more, visit our website at http://coastalseniorcollege.org, pick up a catalog at your local library or community center, or request a CSC catalog be mailed to you (call CSC’s office at URock : 1-800-286-1594). Registration begins January 4. Sign up early to reserve your spot!
