Crews respond to Route 1 crash

Wiscasset Ambulance Service took one person to Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick Friday night with apparent minor injuries after a two-car crash on Wiscasset’s Route One, officials said at the scene. The crash happened near Lil Mart at about 8 p.m.
In addition to the ambulance service, Wiscasset fire and police departments and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene; in addition to the person who was transported, another person received what also appeared to be minor injuries and was not transported, Wiscasset Fire Lt. Nick Grover said.
Traffic was flowing in both directions as Blagden’s Wrecker Service removed one of the cars near the entrance to the store’s parking lot.
