May Festival, open house May 20
The Sheepscot Valley Children’s House will hold its annual May Festival and open house on Saturday, May 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This event is open to the public and is an excellent opportunity to see the school, meet new friends, meet our staff and learn about our pre-k-kindergarten, preschool, toddler and summer programs for 2017-2018.
This family-friendly event will feature a complimentary lunch, snacks, drinks, face painting, craft making, bounce house, raffles, a bake sale and great music. Sharon Pyne will lead our May Pole celebration. All proceeds from the festival and raffle will benefit SVCH’s scholarship fund and school programs.
This year, SVCH will feature a canoe raffle as part of the festival. The canoe is a brand new Old Town canoe and comes with paddles and life jackets. The 16-foot canoe features two contoured seats with seat backs, a center bench seat for smaller passengers, as well as storage space and rod holders for water adventures. Raffle tickets are $5 each or 3 for $10. They can be purchased at the school office at 127 Federal St. in Wiscasset. Drawing for this raffle will be held at the festival. Please help support a local school.
Sheepscot Valley Children’s House is currently accepting applications for the 2017-2018 school year. For more information, please call SVCH at 882-6300 or come visit us during the festival. SVCH is located at 127 Federal Street in Wiscasset. Ample free parking is available at the Old Jail Museum.
