The newspaper received this photo earlier this year along with a note from the bride. According to her, her aunt recently found one of Joe Gelarden's columns online from 2015 where he interviews Miss Pig and asks about the wedding gown. The bride wrote: "It’s funny because my mother was the MOB (mother of the bride) in the story that asked the owner if she could dress the mailbox up as a surprise to me and to add that extra something special to my wedding weekend. The day of the wedding, I was SO late to leave to get to the church, but I HAD to take a picture with her! Anyway, I attached a picture for you of our wedding picture with the pig. We were so bummed out when she was taken down this winter, but glad it was only for some restoration work. I am so grateful to the owner because she really helped to make our day!" It was a sold out show at the Opera House when Joan Osborne came to town on July 8. After opening act Brian Dunne performed and Joan took the stage for her show, she was surprised with a birthday cake, baked by Susan Brackett. After the audience sang “Happy Birthday” – and Joan made a wish and blew out the candles – Joan and her band played the music of Bob Dylan. Robert Mitchell photo
