Wiscasset Dental on Churchill Street will keep limited hours until Aug. 25 so patients can obtain their records. Its primary dentist, Dr. Catherine Bunin-Stevenson, is facing an unforeseen personal illness, and is closing the practice effective immediately, according to Wiscasset Dental’s Facebook page. Any records not collected by the deadline will be destroyed.

According to its incorporation papers with the state, the practice opened in 2006.

Wiscasset Dental was one of the few Midcoast practices that accepted MaineCare, according to the Maine Department of Health and Human Services. Patients seeking records can email wiscassetdental@gmail.com or call 882-4888.
