Sheriff's report
Sheriff Todd Bracket reports the following:
On January 24, Deputy Brian Collamore was dispatched to a reported assault in the Boothbay area. After investigating and meeting with all parties involved, it was determined to be a criminal mischief incident in which a driver’s side window of a vehicle was broken out. (Replacement value is $50).
Recent arrest
On January 23, Alton G. Colby, 47, of Boothbay was arrested for Domestic Assault and Criminal Mischief, on Back Narrows Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Kenneth Hatch.
Recent Accidents
On January 22, an accident occurred on Mills Road in Newcastle involving Colleen J. Nicholas, 24, of Round Pond. Nicholas was operating her 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer southbound when she lost control of her vehicle on a corner and went off the left side of the roadway and struck a utility pole. Deputy Kenneth Hatch was the investigating officer.
On January 28, an accident occurred on Middle Road in Dresden involving Christopher M. Fyfe, 21, of Pittston. Fyfe was operating his 2001 Ford Escort southbound and when rounding a curve, his vehicle began to spin on the snow covered roadway. His vehicle then left the roadway, struck a tree and rotated around, then proceeded down an embankment before coming to rest. Sgt. Daniel Sceviour was the investigating officer.
On January 28, an accident occurred on the Route 1 on ramp in Newcastle involving Stephany G. Blodgett, 20, of Nobleboro. Blodgett was operating her 2009 Toyota Corolla northbound on the on ramp to Route 1 from Route 215 and as she was proceeding on the snow covered on ramp, she began to lose control of her vehicle. As a result, her vehicle skidded to the right and struck a guardrail and snow bank before coming to rest. Sgt. Daniel Sceviour was the investigating officer.
On January 29, an accident occurred on Austin Road in Newcastle involving William M. Williamson, 69, of Jefferson. Williamson was operating his 2004 Chrysler Town & Country southbound when he failed to negotiate a left hand turn and left the roadway and struck a curb, which resulted in causing front end damage to his vehicle. Deputy Justin Drake was the investigating officer.
