On Thursday, Dec. 21, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Detective Scott Hayden arrested Nancy Leigh Ann Brann, 43, of Windsor and charged her with one count of gross sexual assault, Class A and one count of unlawful sexual contact Class C.  Brann, accompanied by her attorney, surrendered herself at Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset.

The alleged offenses occurred at Coastal Christian School in Waldoboro in fall 2016. Brann was a teacher at the school at the time and the alleged victim was a student under the age of 14.  There is no information the school administration had any knowledge of these alleged offenses prior to being notified by investigators. Brann was dismissed by the school shortly after these alleged offenses for unrelated issues. 

Bail was set at $10,000, unsecured, with the conditions that Brann not have contact with the alleged victim, not return to the school, and that she have no contact with children under the age of 16.
