Join us on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, at 6 p.m. for a special screening of the documentary film "Personal Courage" at the Harbor Theater in Boothbay Harbor. The event will include sandwiches and treats provided by the Community Resource Council, and complimentary popcorn for all attendees, courtesy of the Harbor Theater.

Following the film, there will be a brief panel discussion featuring the Executive Producer, Kip Azzoni Doyle, along with panelists Jim Singer, a veteran and chairman of the Veteran’s Banner Project; David Patch, a veteran and president of Maine Veterans in Need; and Sarah Sherman, director of Strategic Partnerships with the Maine Bureau of Veterans Services.

"Personal Courage" tells the intimate story of marriage and one soldier's quest for purpose after the Afghan War, focusing on his transition back to civilian life. This critical moment for servicemen and women can define their future, and the film provides an in-depth look at Jeff and Rebecca Derma’s experiences during the year following his return from active duty.

The Community Resource Council is proud to sponsor this event and will serve as the convener.

We invite the community to join us for this powerful film and honor our veterans together.
