River Arts in Damariscotta invites the public to the opening of a solo show in the West Gallery featuring the work of Camden artist Mac Economy. An opening reception will be held for Economy, as well as River Arts' latest exhibition, “Views in the Sheepscot Watershed,” on Friday, Oct. 9 from 5-7 p.m.

The Mac Economy show runs through Oct. 21.

Over the past few years Economy has been showing his abstracts in galleries and businesses in the Midcoast area, and is developing a strong reputation as an abstract artist. He is gaining momentum among the art community creating his own “brand” of art. Often painting in the moment with no preconceived direction, Economy lets the process direct the outcome resulting in unique abstracts.

Mac Economy is a Midcoast Maine native who is a professional musician, guitar instructor and operates K2 music in Camden.
