Nancie Atwell, former head of Edgecomb’s Center for Teaching and Learning, will be sentenced Nov. 5 for six separate cases of Theft by Unauthorized Taking or Transfer.

Atwell had previously entered into a deferred disposition agreement, but more charges, all involving shoplifting of less than $25, continued to accumulate, and she ended up with several charges of Violating Conditions of Release as well.  She had several scheduled court dates to enter into a new deferred disposition agreement during the spring, all of which were continued.

Atwell’s attorney, Richard Burne, was not immediately available for comment.
