‘Autumn in Bath’ art show at Centre St. Arts Gallery
Centre St. Arts Gallery, at 11 Centre Street in Bath, will host a reception for the new exhibit "Autumn in Bath," with guest artists Judy Segal and Diana Johnson, on Friday, Sept. 25, from 5 to 7 p.m. The reception is free, and the public is enthusiastically invited to enjoy the artwork, refreshments and conversation with the artists and friends.
Many new paintings by member artists will include fall scenes, among other themes.
Judy Segal lives in Brunswick. Segal has exhibited in juried, and other shows, throughout the area. She works in several media, including watercolor and pastel. Segal teaches art classes at Thornton Oaks, and in her private studio, and works on private commissions.
She was commissioned by L. L. Bean and Wolfe's Neck Farm to design T-shirts, and by Saulter Chiropractic for a mural. Segal has written and illustrated two children's books and was Artist in Residence in the Arts Are Elementary program in Brunswick.
One of her watercolor paintings was chosen as the signature piece in a benefit auction for The Maine Parkinson Society.
Diana Johnson paints Maine's colorful peaceful places. Her focus is the landscape; her first impression of a scene becomes a lasting impression after she paints it. Johnson has received numerous awards for her paintings. Johnson offers art classes in Yarmouth, Freeport and Cumberland.
