On a hot and muggy Labor Day night Monday, many at Friends of the Library's Bands for Books fundraiser were burning up the dance floor.
Early in the event at Marianmade Farm off Federal Street, attendees mingled inside and out on the grounds overlooking the Sheepscot River, had hors d'oeuvres and danced as the band Salty Dogs performed. The annual event benefits Wiscasset Public Library.
