Bay Chamber presents David Austin Smith & Friends
On Saturday, March 26 at 7 p.m., Bay Chamber Concerts & Music School presents much loved regular, oboist James Austin Smith at the Rockport Opera House.
James will be joined by hornist David Byrd-Marrow, and award-winning pianist, Renate Rohlfing. All three musicians have distinguished themselves on concert platforms across the globe and in diverse education and social impact settings.
Their program centers around music by Schumann as a starting point for an exploration of broad ranging music for wind instruments and piano. Highlights include Robert Schumann's beloved “Fantasiestücke,” Bacewicz's “Oboe Sonata,” and Clara Schumann's “Romances for Oboe and Piano.”
Bay Chamber is committed to making live performance accessible to a broad audience by offering a tiered ticketing system over the past year. Tickets are $35 for adults age 35 and over, $20 for adults ages 22-34, and Pay What You Wish for those age 21 and under.
