Beginner’s photography class begins March 6
Professional photographer Dave Cleaveland will be teaching a class in beginner’s photography through Wiscasset Adult Ed starting the first week of March.
The class will start with the basics: aperture, shutter speed, ISO and the exposure triangle. Students will learn how to compose an image, including the rule of thirds, “seeing the light,” color temperature, and working with patterns and textures. Also to be discussed will be photo editing software, lenses, flash, long exposures and more.
There are six classes, starting Wednesday, March 6, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Wiscasset High School. There will also be two field trips to work on the techniques you learn in class.
Dave’s work takes him all over New England and has been featured in Outdoor Photographer, Yankee, Downeast, GQ, and others. To see his work, visit his website, www.maineimaging.com, where you can view Maine scenics, nature, and over 8,500 stock aerial photos of Maine and New England.
