Call to artists for open, juried show at River Arts
River Arts is inviting artists to submit work of the artist's choice. The show's emphasis: small works, including fine crafts, suitable for giving. Artists can enter up to 3 works. Outside dimensions of wall art not to exceed 20 inches.
Fees: $15/members and $20/non-members. All work must be for sale.
Entry forms are available online www.riverartsme.org or at the gallery.
Work can be delivered anytime up to the deadline date of Saturday, Nov. 7. at 4 p.m.
The jurors for this show will be Martha Kalina and Bruce Johnston of Gifts at 136 in downtown Damariscotta.
“The team at Gifts at 136 works hard to curate a store of accessible art and fine craft from established and emerging Maine artists,” said Linda Morkeski of River Arts Gallery. “Owners Martha Kalina and Rick Skoglund and manager Bruce Johnston are proud of the Down East Magazine awards received - Best Gallery (2013), Best Gift Store (2014) and, this year, Gifts at 136 is Yankee Magazine’s Best Gift Store Gallery.”
The show opens with a reception Friday, Nov. 13, time to be announced, and will run through Jan. 6, 2016.
River Arts is located at 241 U.S. Route 1, Damariscotta. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
