Cherrelyn I. Mansfield
Cherrelyn Innes Bartlett Mansfield, 81, a long-time resident of Boothbay, Maine, passed away peacefully at home on Oct. 3, 2024.
Cherrelyn was born on Nov. 11, 1942 to Ronald L. Bartlett and Jesselyn (Innes) Bartlett. She was the loving wife of 57 years to the late Harold “Hal” Mansfield Jr.
Cherrelyn was born in Norwood, Massachusetts and was raised and educated in Stoughton, Massachusetts, graduating Stoughton High School.
Before marrying Hal, Cherrelyn worked at the Canton (Mass.) Hospital School. She then had various jobs in Boothbay throughout the years after she and Hal moved to the area. Cherre and Hal were avid followers and benefactors of the Carousel Music Theater in Boothbay Harbor.
Cherrelyn’s absolute favorite job was being a mother and homemaker to Holly Mansfield Lewis and William Mansfield, both of Boothbay. She also loved helping to care for her grandchildren, Steven and Kayla Lewis and Chase and Sophia Mansfield.
Cherrelyn was predeceased by her parents and husband.
Cherrelyn is survived by her children, William “Bill” Mansfield and his wife Leah Plummer of Boothbay and Holly Lewis and her husband Steve of Boothbay; grandchildren Steven, Kayla, Chase and Sophia; siblings Dianne Bartlett Heberling of Stoughton, Massachusetts, Ronald F. Bartlett of Wolfboro, New Hampshire and Brooks S. Bartlett of Littleton, New Hampshire. She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews.
A co-celebration of Cherrelyn and Hal’s life will be announced at a later date.
