The Clamshell Quilters' next meeting is Monday, November 9, at 5:30 p.m. at the Faith Baptist Church, 144 Mills Road, Newcastle. Marilyn Ingham will shows attendees how to develop a small appliquéd flower arrangement from a picture. Marilyn will provide some 8" x 10" background pieces, vase fabric and a few flowers to arrange. If you prefer to work in your own color-way, please bring your own background, vase and flower fabric. Your background, flowers and vase should be fused to a light, fusible web or Light Steam a Seam, with the backing paper left on. Everyone needs to bring a pair of sharp scissors; pins are optional. Leave the sewing machines at home.

The meeting will be preceded by the last sew 'n chat session for 2015, beginning at 2 p.m. Bring a project of your own or a charity project to work on and enjoy each others' company for the afternoon. Don't forget to bring your own food and beverage if you're staying throughout the afternoon and evening.
