Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is offering a new “Adventure Day at the Gardens” program for children ages 6-11. From taking a boat trip down a tidal river to hiking through the Gardens’ extensive woodlands, participants will explore some of the many things the Gardens has to offer. Young adventurers will spend the day participating in hands-on activities and games in the garden, nature challenges, pond studies, and even making their own snack, using ingredients right from the garden.

Wednesday’s program, Aug. 16, is designed for children ages 6-8; on Thursday, Aug. 17, for children ages 9-11. Both programs run all day, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, or to register online, visit our website or call Taylor Eddy at 633-8012.
