The Boothbay Region Art Foundation (BRAF), open Tuesday through Sunday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. is currently hosting the August Members’ Show, which includes an eclectic mix of the creative works of Maine artists.
This month the Foundation also features two solo exhibitions: Sue Henry is presenting “Reflections On Reclamation” in Gallery One. Her eclectic mix of works incorporates found objects from her years of collecting odd and end treasures. The “Art of Sarah Wilde” is open in the Harbor Room. Sarah’s current exhibition features land and seascapes, her most recent abstractions, and a selection of mythical pieces.
An inclusive non-profit organization, the foundation has been the cornerstone of the region’s artistic community since 1963. Our mission is to provide exhibition space and the opportunity to sell pieces for artists of all ages and includes works in a variety of media, painting, sculpture, photography and mixed media. Our beautiful state is well represented through land and seascapes, including iconic and easily recognizable landmarks.
