Dahlia tuber sale at Veggies to Table
Here on the Midcoast of Maine it’s just about time to plant the dahlias. They can be planted as soon as the soil fluffy and ready to be worked and, of course, when danger of frost has passed.
Veggies to Table, a non-profit farm in Newcastle, had a very successful dahlia sale this winter. They sold thousands of their organic dahlia tubers to the community, and beyond spreading flower joy near and far. Sales were closely monitored to make sure the dahlia stock survived winter storage. The good news is that the dahlias are thriving with lovely eyes ready to get planted. To this end, Veggies to Table has released an additional number of tubers for sale. Tubers can be shipped or picked up on the farm in Newcastle. Additionally they can be picked up at the Boothbay Farmers market as of June 8 where they will have a stand in the gazebo from 9 a.m. to noon.
Note: When you buy a dahlia mix and enter code: freetuberLCN2023 you will get an extra tuber for free.
Hurry, supplies are limited. Your support will help Veggies to Table to grow and donate even more organic, produce and flowers to those in need of food and joy in our community.
