Damariscotta Police Department: Five arrests
The Damariscotta Police report the following activity from Feb. 29 to March 6, 2016
Feb. 29
Officer Halpin conducted speed enforcement in the school zone on Main Street; investigated a report of theft on Main Street; summonsed Kevin DuFour of Bristol for theft by deception; and arrested Kent Little of Damariscotta for theft.
Chief Young assisted citizens at the police department; took a police information report at the police department; investigated a report of suspicious activity on Main Street summonsed Matthew Christ of Bristol for possession of marijuana and sale and use of drug paraphernalia; took a report of a vehicle passing a stopped school bus on Main Street; took a report of lost property on Coastal Market Drive; took a report of lost property on Main Street; investigated a report of a hit and run accident that occurred on Biscay Road -- no injuries were reported; and summonsed Darrell Olsen of Port Clyde for leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
Sgt. Warlick served paperwork on Midcoast Road.
March 1
Chief Young investigated a report of an injured animal on Elm Street; assisted citizens at the police department; and took a complaint of a parking issue on Parking Lot Lane.
Officer Halpin assisted with a civil complaint on Ledgewood Court; conducted speed enforcement in the school zone on Main Street; warned Rachel Lasley-Rasher of Round Pond for speeding on Main Street; assisted with a fire alarm on Main Street; is investigating a report of theft on Bristol Road; and warned Chasidy Day of Damariscotta for speeding on Biscay Road
Sgt. Warlick investigated a report of theft on Abbie Lane; assisted a citizen on Main Street; is investigated a report of theft on Main Street; and arrested Collin Marshall of South Bristol for minor possessing liquor, attaching false plates and four counts of theft by deception.
March 2
Officer Halpin investigated a report of a traffic hazard on Chapman Street; conducted speed enforcement in the school zone on Main Street; investigated a report of a hit and run accident on Main Street — no injuries were reported; summonsed Larry Nicks of Newcastle for leaving the scene of a property damage accident; and took a police information report on Standpipe Road.
Chief Young assisted a citizen at the police department.
Sgt. Warlick assisted a citizen at the police department; investigated a report of a domestic disturbance on Route 1; and arrested Peter Townsend of Nobleboro for domestic violence assault and burglary of a motor vehicle.
Officer Dotson took a report of harassment on Ledgewood Court.
March 3
Officer Dotson investigated suspicious activity on Belvedere Road.
Chief Young conducted speed enforcement in the school zone on Main Street; investigated a late report of a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Main Street; conducted a speaking engagement on Main Street; investigated an animal complaint on Miles Street; took a late report of a property damage accident on Coastal Market Drive; assisted a citizen on Powell Lane; took a report of found property on Main Street; took a report of found property on Elm Street; took a police information report at the police department; assisted a citizen on South Road; took a police information report on Biscay Road; and took a late report of a property damage accident on Miles Street.
Officer Sylvester investigated a report of a domestic disturbance on Main Street; investigated a report of harassment on Jackie’s Trail; and warned Katlin Poland of Bristol for a defect on Biscay Road.
March 4
Sgt. Warlick conducted speed enforcement in the school zone on Main Street; took an erratic vehicle report on Route 1; took a police information report on Bristol Road; took a report of ongoing harassment on Jackie’s Trail; assisted a citizen at the police department; took a report of an erratic vehicle on Route 1; took a police information report at the police department; and took a report of ongoing criminal mischief on Oyster Creek Lane.
Officer Sylvester conducted a welfare check on Back Meadow Road; warned Morgen Benz of Edgecomb for a defect on Back Meadow Road; investigated an alarm on Main Street; and assisted with a disabled motor vehicle on Bristol Road.
March 5
Officer Dotson warned Nicholas Buck of Newcastle for speeding on Bristol Road; responded to a two vehicle accident on Main Street -- Marianne Pinkham of Nobleboro was driving a 2001 Ford Ranger and Sean Bailey of Newcastle was driving a 2012 Ford Fusion; no injuries were reported; and assisted a citizen on Main Street.
Officer Sylvester investigated a report of theft on Main Street; summonsed Matthew Kinney of Damariscotta for theft by unauthorized taking; assisted with a report of an erratic vehicle on Route 1; warned Kerrilyn Lincoln of Nobleboro for speeding on Main Street; and investigated an alarm on Main Street.
March 6
Officer Dotson investigated a report of criminal mischief on South Road and took a police information report on Main Street.
Officer Sylvester warned James Farrar of Bremen for a defect on Main Street; warned Angela Wellman of Waldoboro for a defect on Main Street; warned Emma Holbrook of Damariscotta for speeding on Main Street; and assisted a citizen on Meadow Court.
