District garden clubs to hold annual meeting May 7
The Medomak District of the Garden Club Federation of Maine to have its annual meeting May 7 at the 1812 Farm, 1297 Bristol Road, Bristol, Maine. The District clubs include, Bath, Boothbay Region, Camden, Topsham and the host club, The Garden Club of Wiscasset.
Registration is at 9:30 a.m., with coffee, tea and blueberry muffins provided. The business meeting starts at 10 a.m. At 11:30 there will be socializing, exhibits, raffle and white elephant table. There will be a cash bar and soup and sandwich luncheon.
The program at 1 p.m., “We are All on the Same Trail,” will be presented by Anna Fiedler, Ph.D., director of land conservation, Midcoast Conservancy. Midcoast Conservancy seeks to protect critically important natural land and water resources, improve the quality of life for residents of Midcoast Maine. Learn about why land and water conservation matter, what Midcoast Conservancy is doing to plant the seeds to build community across Midcoast Maine and how you can play a part.
Cost for GCFM club members is $30 and for non-federated club members and guests, $35. The public is welcome
Anyone interested in attending should mail a check made out to The Medomak District GCFM to Emily Adler, The Garden Club of Wiscasset, P.O. Box 174, Wiscasset, ME by April 24.
