Governor Janet Mills has nominated Dr. Mark Fourre of Camden for appointment to the Maine Community College System Board of Trustees.

Fourre is the president of the Coastal Healthcare Alliance, medical director of Lincoln Medical Partners, president and chair of the Board of Community Physicians of Maine, and chief health affairs officer of MaineHealth. He served as chief medical officer for LincolnHealth, senior medial director of clinical integration at MaineHealth and chief of emergency medicine at Miles Memorial Hospital and St. Andrews Hospital. Fourre received his bachelor of science degree from the University of Minnesota and doctorate from the University of Minnesota Medical School.

The Maine Community College System Board of Trustees is the policy-making authority for the system. The board consists of 13 appointed voting members, one ex-officio voting member, and one ex-officio non-voting member. Appointment to the Maine Community College System Board of Trustees is subject to review by the Legislature’s Joint Standing Committee on Education and Cultural Affairs and final confirmation by the Maine State Senate.
