Edgecomb Community Church schedules Advent season celebrants
Edgecomb Community Church is gearing up for a wonderful Advent season. The church’s search committee has been working hard to fill their pulpit this fall while in search of a new permanent preacher. Three standout pulpit supply ministers are lined up for the rest of this year beginning with the Rev. Dr. Janet Peck who will be preaching on Sundays, Nov. 12, Dec. 3, 10 and 17. The Rev. Charlene Corbett will be filling the pulpit on Sunday, Nov. 19; and the Rev. Don Bizer will be here on Sunday, Nov. 26. All three are wonderful speakers and bring their own thoughts and experiences to the interpretation of Scripture.
Wonderful music is also lined up for several Sundays as well. Katie McShane and Jesse Heasly from Bath will be with us on Sundays, Nov. 12 and 26, Dec. 10, and the Christmas Eve service on Dec. 24. Coffee hours follow each service, except on Christmas Eve.
The Christmas Eve service on Sunday, Dec. 24, will be held at 5 p.m. with the service being hosted by the church deacons. A service of Lessons and Carols with a final candlelight hymn of Silent Night will serve as a heartwarming welcome to the Christmas season.
Please join us for worship this Advent season and prepare for the coming of Christ.
