Edgecomb Fire Department
The Edgecomb Fire Department responded to 13 calls for the month; three storm related, four MVAs, one structure fire, four other fires/alarms, and one medical.
May 1, 5:58 a.m., Dodge Road, Tree down across road, no wires. Cleared tree; 7:10 a.m., Fort Road, Tree down across road with wires down. Coned road, advised LCC to contact CMP; 7:58 a.m., Cross Point Road, Trench washed out, causing flooding. Road passable, notified road commissioner; 11:56 p.m., Cross Point Road, one vehicle MVA, car vs deer. Deputy handled, returned to station.
May 2, 4:25 p.m., Eddy Road, two vehicle MVA, PD only. Arrived on scene, deputy all set, canceled responding units.
May 3, 4:12 a.m., Cross Point Road, Fire alarm. Checked entire building, false alarm. Reset alarm.
May 7, 1:04 p.m., Route 27, two vehicle MVA, PD only, vehicles moved to parking lot. Stood by until deputy arrived.
May 12, 11:10 a.m., Eddy Road, Paged for fire alarm. Checked building, workers had set off alarm with dust. No fire.
May 15, 10:29 a.m., Shore Road, Medical. Provided initial medical care, assisted CLC loading patient into ambulance for transport to hospital; 7:32 p.m., River Road, Fire, other. Refrigerator making funny sound, moved food to another refrigerator, unplugged first refrigerator.
May 16, 11:28 a.m., Route 27, Small grass fire. Extinguished.
May 19, 1:56 a.m., Old County Road, Structure fire, home fully involved upon our arrival. Occupants were out and accounted for. Extinguished fire. Mutual aid from Wiscasset, Woolwich, Alna, Boothbay, Newcastle, Nobleboro and Damariscotta.
May 28, 1:20 p.m., Eddy Road, one vehicle MVA, rollover. Wiscasset assisted.
