Edgecomb woman strikes plea deal in arson case
Karen Smith will plead guilty to an unspecified charge Aug. 9
An Edgecomb arson case will end in a guilty plea, although what the defendent will plead to is not known.
Karen Smith, 52, is charged with arson in connection with a fire at her Edgecomb home in 2011. On Aug. 9, Smith will plead guilty to an unspecified charge as part of a plea deal, her attorney said.
Assistant District Attorney Andrew Wright declined to specify the terms of the deal.
