Garden Club of Wiscasset to hear about rain gardens

The next meeting of the Garden Club of Wiscasset will be on Jan. 4 in Fellowship Hall of the Congregational Church, 28 High St. in Wiscasset. There is a brief business meeting at 12:30 p.m. and the program is at 1 p.m.
Rebecca Jacobs, program manager of Knox-Lincoln Soil and Water Conservation, will present a program on “Rain Garden Installation and Best Practices.” Attendees will learn the proper way to install a rain garden to help solve runoff and pooling water in your yard.
The public is invited free of charge. Refreshments follow the program.
