LincolnHealth’s drive-up flu clinics will begin later this month and extend until October 22. All clinics are being offered on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Lincoln Medical Partners (LMP) locations in Damariscotta, Boothbay Harbor and Wiscasset. LMP’s Waldoboro team will be offering flu vaccine at the Waldoboro Town offices on Sept. 27, Oct. 10 and Oct. 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Supplies permitting, the COVID-19 bivalent booster shot will be available in Damariscotta, Boothbay and Wiscasset drive up clinics. Those who want the booster will have to go inside the office to receive it, as a 15-minute wait is required. As of this week, the Moderna booster supply was running low and Pfizer vaccine was readily available.
If you can’t make the Saturday clinics and want to receive the COVID booster shot, you can also call your primary care physician’s office or go to vaccine.mainehealth.org.
The vaccination process begins with participants driving up to register (please remember your insurance card), then move on to receive the vaccination while remaining in the car. The clinics are open to ages 7 and up, and it’s a good idea to wear a short-sleeved shirt to make it easier to administer the vaccine. All insurances except TriCare are accepted.
