MaineHealth Care at Home (MHCAH) and hospice volunteers will host Remembrance Gatherings for community members who have experienced the recent loss of a loved one.  The Remembrance Gatherings will be held at the Pemaquid Lighthouse in Bristol on Saturday, Aug. 24 at 10 a.m. and at St. Andrews Village in Boothbay Harbor on Sept. 28 at 10 a.m. 

These special interfaith gatherings provide opportunities to honor and pay tribute to loved ones with words of encouragement by the Rev. Dr. Edward Wynne Jr. The Homeward Bound Hospice Choir will offer inspirational music.

In the last year, MHCAH provided community-based hospice care services to over 550 patients in Lincoln, Knox and Waldo counties. MHCAH’s hospice program includes skilled nurses, home health aides, therapists, social workers, chaplains, physicians and volunteers who work together to provide a full range of end-of-life care services such as pain and symptom management, respite services, spiritual care and emotional support, enabling Mid Coast residents to live their last days to the fullest, with purpose, dignity and grace.
