On June 17, James Weldon Johnson Day at 11 a.m. in Wiscasset on the upper common in First Congregational’s front yard, there will be a tent and poetry and photography awards and some party food and unveiling of the plaque sent by Jacksonville.

Maine House Speaker Rachel Talbot Ross is attending and also Hon. Tony Hill from Jacksonville. 

The event is free and open to the public.
