John W. Stinson
John Willard Stinson, 77, of Jackson, Missouri passed away July 21, 2021 at his home.
He was born Oct. 14, 1943 in Wiscasset, Maine to William and Mary Boudin Stinson.
In 1962, he graduated from Wiscasset High School and attended the University of Maine at Orono. In 1964, he headed west to attend the Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he met his first wife, Nancy. She predeceased him in 2009.
John worked 36 years in St. Louis, Missouri as an aircraft mechanic for McDonnell Douglas, Ozark, TWA and American Airlines. He retired in 2003.
John and Giovanna King were married in 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
John is survived by his wife, Giovanna, of Jackson, Missouri; son, Jerry Stinson, of St. Charles, Missouri; three daughters, Johna (TJ) Toedebusch, of St. Charles, Missouri, Amanda Stinson, of Jackson, Missouri, and Mary Stinson (Jerry Frost), of Springfield, Missouri; son-in-law, Kevin Bolen, of Jackson, Missouri; bonus son, Kenny Woods, of Jackson, Missouri; bonus daughter, Misty Simmons, of Springfield, Missouri; brother, Lowell (Priscilla) Stinson, of Wiscasset; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and friends.
John was predeceased by his parents, first wife and a daughter, Terri Bolen.
Arrangements were under the care of the McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Jackson, Missouri.
