Brady's deck will echo the American Idol stage on Wednesday, July 17 when Maine's Julia Gagnon performs to raise funds for the Crocker family whose Abenaki Road home in Edgecomb was lost to a fire on June 3.

The deck will have concert seating for 150 and Julia's performance will be in two 45-minute segments with an intermission. Moose 92 host Matt James will emcee the event.

Admission is limited to ticket holders and tickets are numbered based on purchase date with lower numbers seated closest to the stage, according to event creator and Brady's owner Jen Plummer. All proceeds from tickets will benefit the Crocker family.

Ticket prices have an additional processing fee and range from $125 for VIP seating, which opens at noon and includes parking, lunch, a beverage and preferred seating; to general admission tickets, which are $75 plus a processing fee. General admission ticket holders will be seated beginning at 1 p.m. Shore Hills Campground is providing shuttle service for concertgoers from the high school parking lot to Brady's.

Plummer said everyone attending will also receive a Julia Gagnon "rookie card" as a souvenir which can be autographed by Gagnon for those making additional donations.

Asked how the concert plan came together, Plummer said she reached out to Gagnon’s parents, Jim and Meg Gagnon, in May to see if Julia might include a local stop on her Maine tour. The Gagnons were receptive to the idea and, when the Crockers lost their home and pets to the fire, Plummer suggested a benefit concert and the Gagnons readily agreed.

Plummer put together a team of volunteers who have been working diligently to make the event a success. In addition to Shore Hills Campground donating shuttle services, Darrell Gudroe and Aaron Morse are assisting with sound and security and Boothbay Craft Brewery is donating beer. There will be a cash bar. Renee Beck will be Gagnon’s personal assistant for the concert. Other volunteers will assist with parking and the shuttle bus.

Plummer is also putting together a "Boothbay Harbor basket" to welcome Gagnon. It will include items unique to this area.
