Kimberly Keller new Saltbay Chamberfest managing director
The Salt Bay Chamberfest is thrilled to announce the appointment of Kimberly Keller as managing director, effective Jan. 4, 2016.
A 2013 alumna of Elizabethtown College, Kimberly earned her bachelor of arts in music degree while also studying business administration.
While she remained an active instrumentalist throughout her time at Elizabethtown, her studies were concentrated in the area of vocal performance. She enjoyed performing with numerous ensembles; her most memorable performance was as a jazz vocalist at the JAM no MAM jazz festival in Salvador, Brazil. Following graduation, Kim was appointed the assistant patron services manager for Gretna Music, a small chamber music and jazz festival in Mt. Gretna, Pennsylvania. Her experience in Gretna sparked her interest in pursuing a career in the nonprofit arts sector. Most recently, she has worked in development for the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra. Kim continues her vocal studies and is passionate about world travel and learning about other cultures.
“I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the team at Salt Bay Chamberfest and serving the community of mid-coastal Maine,” says Kim. “Mina and the board of directors provide a depth of knowledge and experience that cultivate truly inspiring and thought-provoking programs. The opportunity to be a part of such an organization is really exciting.”
Chamberfest founder and artistic director Mina Smith adds, “Kim will be a wonderful addition to Salt Bay Chamberfest and a valuable new member of the Damariscotta community. She brings a high level of integrity and professionalism to our organization, combined with a love of music and an infectious energy and enthusiasm. Please join us in welcoming her!"
