LC EMA to ‘light up teal’ Nov. 8
Lincoln County EMA’s Project Lifesaver Program will light up teal on Nov. 8 to raise Alzheimer’s awareness as part of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America’s (AFA) Light the World in Teal® program.
The annual program, held during Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, shines a spotlight on Alzheimer’s disease and shows support for the millions of people it affects.
Lincoln County EMA’s Project Lifesaver Program and the Lincoln County Courthouse will be going teal along with sites across the U.S. and around the world, including in Australia, Canada, China, Ireland, Poland, Portugal, Qatar and the United Kingdom.
This is the the fifth year of AFA’s Light the World in Teal campaign, the largest one to date and the first for the Project Lifesaver Program. Last year, nearly 200 sites in the U.S. and around the globe participated.
AFA welcomes other businesses and landmarks to join in illuminating their buildings in teal.
