Do you have a small area to garden, maybe the entrance to your home or your patio, that you want to make into a stunner? Then come to the GCW Sept. 1 program at 1 p.m. at First Congregational Church’s Fellowship Hall, 28 High St., Wiscasset.

 

Mendez will give a presentation entitled “Small Landscapes with Big Attitudes.” She will offer clever design and tips for maximizing and extending color in small spaces. Her lecture features no-fuss perennials, flowering shrubs, evergreens and annuals that provide three to four-season beauty. Pollinator plants and sustainable practices are emphasized.

 

Mendez is a nationally known, award-winning author, garden consultant, designer and lecturer. She is the proprietor of Perennially Yours (www.pyours.com). There will be lecture notes available and a book signing table. This program is open to the public at no charge. Refreshments follow the program. Garden Club members hold a business meeting at 12:30 pm.
