Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office: 5 arrests
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 214 calls for service for the period of Sept. 12 to Sept. 19. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 8,123 calls for service.
Summonses
Peter M. Hunter, 78, of Boothbay was issued a summons Sept. 13 for Failing to Make Oral or Written Accident Report, on Wiscasset Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Owen Beattie.
David N. Boynton, 41, of Waldoboro was issued a summons Sept.. 15 for Motor Vehicle Speeding: 30 + MPH over Speed Limit, on Recreation Pkwy, Nobleboro, by Deputy Owen Beattie.
Arrests
Scott E. Hawkes, 36, of Brunswick was arrested Sept. 12 for Operating under the Influence, no test – 2 priors, on Eagle Lodge Lane, Dresden, by Deputy Jeffrey Rogers.
Corey Cookson, 42, of Damariscotta was arrested Sept. 14 on four outstanding warrants for Failure to Appear; three from Lincoln County and one from Cumberland County, on Snyders Lane, Jefferson, by Deputy Ethan Burns.
Charles E. Wilson, 33, of Denton, Texas was arrested Sept. 15on a Lincoln warrant for Theft by Unauthorized Taking or Transfer; Forgery and Criminal Conspiracy, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Detective Jared Mitkus.
Sierra D. Crawford, 22, of Bristol was arrested Sept. 16 for Domestic Violence Assault and Violating Condition of Release, on Bristol Road, Bristol, by Sgt. Scott Hayden.
Tyler G. Cheney, 27, of Bristol was arrested Sept. 16 for Domestic Violence Assault, on Bristol Road, Bristol, by Sgt. Scott Hayden.
Accidents
On Sept. 12, an accident occurred on Townsend Avenue in Boothbay Harbor involving Donale C. Duncan, 94, of Southport Island and Carrie L. Svendsen, 59, of Bellevue, Nebraska. Ms. Svendsen’s 2022 Nissan Frontier was parked legally in the Hannaford parking lot and Mr. Duncan backed his 2013 Subaru Impreza out of a parking spot and drove forward, exiting the lot. As he drove forward, Duncan collided with Svendsen’s vehicle and scraped the rear bumper. Deputy Jerold Winslow was the investigating officer.
On Sept. 14, an accident occurred on Patricktown Road in Somerville involving Scott Barss, 55, of Appleton. Mr. Barss was operating his 2010 Kia Sedona southbound when a deer entered the roadway and collided with his vehicle. Deputy Jerold Winslow was the investigating officer.
On Sept. 15, an accident occurred on Gardiner Road in Whitefield involving Jason M. Carrigan, 53, of Whitefield. Mr. Carrigan was operating is 2018 Subaru Crosstrek eastbound when he came upon a cow crossing the roadway, right to left, and struck the cow in the roadway, causing functional damage. Deputy Samuel Alexander was the investigating officer.
