Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office: 8 arrests
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 151 calls for service for the period of Nov. 28 to Dec. 5. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 10,343 calls for service.
Summons
James L. Littlefield, 24, Boothbay was issued a summons Nov. 30 for Leaving Scene of Motor Vehicle Accident, on Wawenock Road, Edgecomb, by Deputy Samuel Alexander.
Arrests
Anthony T. Dimauro, 29, of Boothbay was arrested Nov. 29 for Domestic Violence Assault, on Farnham Point Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Kasey Doyle.
Matthew Chartier, 19, of Jefferson was arrested Nov. 29 for Domestic Violence Assault, on North Clary Road, Jefferson, by Deputy Kasey Doyle.
John Andretta, Jr., 34, of Warren was arrested Nov. 29 for Violating Condition of Release, on River Road, Newcastle, by Deputy Ethan Burns.
Richard A. Towle, 35, of Rockport was arrested Nov. 29 for Operating under the Influence, on US Route 1, Rockport, by Deputy Jerold Winslow.
James Brawn, 36, of Dresden was arrested Nov. 30 for Domestic Violence Assault; Violating Condition of Release and Refusing to Submit to Arrest or Detention, on Middle Road, Dresden, by Deputy Ethan Burns.
Lance T. Chipman, 36, of Rockland was arrested Nov. 30 on a Penobscot County warrant for Violation of Bail, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Nathan Yeaton.
Steven D. Martin, 53, of Waldoboro was arrested Dec. 2 for Operating under the Influence – 1 prior and Operating without a License, on Head Tide Road, Alna, by Sgt. Scott Hayden.
Tobin M. Burnham, 43, of Bristol was arrested Dec. 3 for Operating while License Suspended/Revoked – OUI – prior, on Main Street, Newcastle, by Sgt. Scott Hayden.
Accidents
On Nov. 28, an accident occurred on State Route 129 in South Bristol involving Emily B. Reinholt, 41, of Edgecomb. Ms. Reinholt was operating her 1996 Dodge Dakota southbound when a squirrel ran in front of her vehicle, so she swerved to avoid the squirrel. As a result, her vehicle left the roadway on the left side and struck a tree, causing driver’s side front and quarter panel damage. Deputy Jeffrey Rogers was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 28, an accident occurred on Bristol Road in Bristol involving Tara L. Winchenbach, 48, of New Harbor. Ms. Winchenbach was operating her 2022 Ford Bronco southbound when a deer ran out in front of her vehicle and was struck, causing front-end damage. Deputy Jeffrey Rogers was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 1, an accident occurred on Cedar Grove Road in Dresden involving Benjamin T. Johnston, 19, of Dresden. Mr. Johnston was operating his 2007 Ford F-150 southbound when he lost control of his vehicle, causing it to go off the roadway to the right. He then over corrected, reentered the roadway, where he popped the front passenger side tire, went off the roadway to the left, spun out and into a group of trees. Deputy Ethan Burns was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 2, an accident occurred on West Old County Road in Newcastle involving Carol A. Juchnik, 78, of Newcastle. Ms. Juchnik was operating her 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee eastbound when a deer entered the roadway and was struck with the front passenger corner of her vehicle. Deputy Samuel Alexander was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 2, an accident occurred on Gardiner Road in Dresden involving Robert M. Spillane, 70, of Wiscasset and Taylor Fink, 19, of Damariscotta. Mr. Spillane was in the parking lot of Dresden Take-Out, attempting to make a left turn southbound onto Route 27 in his 2012 Ford Focus. Ms. Fink was operating her 2016 Hyundai northbound on Route 27. Spillane did not properly check to make sure it was clear to make the turn and cut out in front of Fink’s vehicle, causing the front of Fink’s vehicle to collide with the with rear driver’s side of Spillane’s vehicle. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 2, an accident occurred on Somerville Road in Jefferson involving Joshua M. Briggs, 16, of Jefferson. Mr. Briggs was operating his 1997 Subaru Legacy northbound when he exceeded the posted speed limit and went off the roadway to the left. As a result, his vehicle collided with several rocks and came to rest. Deputy Jerold Winslow was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 4, an accident occurred on Pension Ridge Road in Boothbay involving Cherie R. Wilder, 40, of Boothbay. Ms. Wilder was operating her 2005 Volvo 60 southbound when her vehicle began skidding towards the ditch and slid off the roadway, striking a CMP pole. Deputy Mark Fortin was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 4, an accident occurred on Lakeside Drive in Boothbay Harbor involving Tristan T. Sess, 28, of Alna. Mr. Sess was operating his 2016 Honda Civic northbound when he began skidding on snow and slush, while sliding into a ditch on the right hand side of the roadway. Deputy Mark Fortin was the investigating officer.
