The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 358 calls for service for the period of Oct. 8 to Oct. 15. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 12,491 calls for service.
Summons
Samantha S. Bailey, 29, of Jefferson was issued a summons Oct. 9 for Endangering the Welfare of a Child, on South Clary Road, Jefferson, by Det. Sgt. Ronald Rollins.
Arrests
Donald Ouellette, 57, of Pittston was arrested Oct. 9 for Operating under the Influence – No Test; Leaving Scene of Motor Vehicle Crash and Failure to Provide Identification, on Boothbay Road, Edgecomb, by Deputy Jerold Winslow.
Matthew Griffeth, 35, of Lisbon Falls was arrested Oct. 10 on a Probation Violation, on Miles Street, Damariscotta, by Sgt. Matthew Day.
Abigail B. Iverson, 42, of Jefferson was arrested Oct. 13 for Operating under the Influence, on Academy Hill, Newcastle, by Deputy Caleb Poirier.
Charles A. Tompson, 58, of Alna was arrested Oct. 13 for Violating a Protection from Harassment Order, on Alna Road, Alna, by Deputy Joseph Booth.
Accidents
On Oct. 9, an accident occurred on Twin Cove Lane in Damariscotta involving Emma K. Hall, 22, of Newcastle. Ms. Hall was operating her 2023 Hyundai Palisades eastbound when she stated she fell asleep and went off the road on the right and struck a stump. As a result, her vehicle sustained damage to the front passenger corner. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 9, an accident occurred on Boothbay Road in Edgecomb involving Donald Ouellette, 57, of Pittston. Mr. Ouellette was operating his 1982 Chevrolet C10 northbound when he went off the roadway to the right and collided with several trees. Deputy Jerold Winslow was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 12, an accident occurred on Main Road on Westport Island involving Richard J. Tucker, 80, of Westport Island and Wayne S. Stanley, 79, of Woodstock, Virginia. Mr. Tucker was operating his 2020 Subaru Crosstrek southbound on Main Road behind Mr. Stanley’s 2019 Honda Insight. Stanley slowed, activated his left turn signal and began to make a left turn onto another road. Tucker began to pass Stanley’s vehicle on the left and was struck by Stanley’s vehicle as it attempted its turn. Tucker stated he did not see a turn signal and that Stanley was making a wide turn, leading him to believe he was pulling over onto the shoulder. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 13, an accident occurred on River Road in Edgecomb involving Renee L. Bourdeau, 42, of Newburyport, Massachusetts and Maureen A. Cianci, 75, of Waldoboro. Ms. Bourdeau was operating her 2023 Toyota RAV4 northbound and Ms. Cianci was operating her 2008 Subaru Impreza southbound. Bourdeau slowed and started to turn left into a driveway. Witnesses advised that Cianci had just passed two vehicles and was traveling faster than the posted 40 MPH. It appears that Cianci was in a dip in the road, out of site when Bourdeau began to turn. Cianci came out of the dip and struck Bourdeau in the driver’s side front. Sgt. Scott Hayden was the investigating officer.
