Lincoln Home welcomes new RN manager Tina Ham
Families, friends, staff, board members and residents all gathered on the afternoon of March 1 to welcome the RN manager of Harbor View Cottage Tina Ham, RN, of Boothbay to her new position at The Lincoln Home.
Tina brings over 40 years of nursing experience and 25 year of memory loss care to her new position at Harbor View Cottage. She has lived in Maine for 42 years where she and her husband raised their family of three children. Over these years she has worked in supervisory nursing positions in the Midcoast area from Falmouth, Boothbay to Damariscotta.
When asked what she loves most about working with those with memory loss, a smile fills her face as she said, "I love working with caregivers who are drawn to caring for those with memory loss. We are a special club of people."
When one enters The Cottage and sees joyful and busy residents engaged in many different ways it is clear that Tina is accomplished in guiding and partnering with staff to ensure excellent care and meaningful living for the residents. Harbor View Cottage is a unique, beautiful, non- profit living community for those with dementias and memory loss.
"Finally, after 43 years of nursing, I have found the staff and the memory loss community that not only talks the talk but walks the walk with love, respect and compassion in a true homelike environment. I know I have found my forever home" said Tina at her welcome gathering. The Lincoln Home is happy and honored to have Tina as part of its management team.
