Maine influence at The First National Bank of Damariscotta
Damariscotta artist Debra Arter is presenting a collection of prints, paintings, and collages in the lobby of The First National Bank in Damariscotta through the end of August. Her interest in color and experimentation is evident in this survey pieces.
She received her MFA in visual arts from Vermont College of Fine Arts and has been a printmaker for over 30 years. Her artwork has been featured on eight holiday cards for the Dana-Farber Cancer institute and is in the collection of the Boston Public library. Arter teaches printmaking in Damariscotta and painting at various adult education centers as well.
All work is for sale and 20 percent will be donated to the Ecumenical Food Pantry.
The First National Bank is located at 223 Main Street in Damariscotta. Viewing hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays, and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. All are invited to stop by and see this local artists fresh vibrant work.
