Marjorie D. Dombrowski
Marjorie D. Dombrowski, 95, of East Boothbay, passed away peacefully on Feb. 4, 2023 at the Gregory Wing of St. Andrews Village in Boothbay Harbor.
She was born on May 5, 1927 in Paterson, New Jersey. She grew up in Paterson and Hackensack, New Jersey.
Marjorie met her late husband, Raymond J. Dombrowski in 1945 after a group of boys had thrown her into the pool and Raymond jumped in the pool to save her. They fell in love and were married.
Marjorie bought Tacoma Lunch in 1970 and then Trinka’s Take Out in Randolph. She was well know as a great cook.
Marjorie moved to Boothbay in 1984. She worked for Pine Tree Variety and Puffin Stop until she retired in 2010.
Marjorie was cheerful and loving and was always taking in neighborhood kids for dinner; she was like the “The Waltons” mom. She loved working with people and was very much a people person. She loved to cook and have coffee with her group of friends.
She was an Eastern Star member for 60 years.
Marjorie was predeceased by her parents, husband Raymond J. Dombrowski, brothers Charles and Allen, sister Ruth and daughter in-law Doris.
Marjorie is survived by her sons Peter of East Boothbay and Paul and his wife Deborah of Marietta, Georgia, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and many local friends.
A private graveside service will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery in Boothbay.
