Marjorie Lewis, 94, passed away peacefully on Dec. 16, 2018 at Winship Green Nursing Home in Bath, Maine.

She was born Aug. 7, 1924 to Phyllis and Amos Barter of Boothbay. She attended local schools. In 1943 she married the love of her life, Carroll Lewis, and together they raised four children and shared 51 wonderful years together until he passed in 1994.

Marjorie enjoyed many years of working at Fisherman’s Wharf assisting in the kitchen and laundry. Her family was very important to her and she received great joy watching them grow and raise families of their own.

She was predeceased by her husband Carroll Lewis, grandson Tim Purington, and son-in-law Ed Dunn.

She is survived by her sons, Don Lewis and wife Sue, and Richard Lewis and wife Jayne; daughters, Pat Purington and husband Earl, and Kathy Dunn; brother, Robert Barter and wife Patti Jo and family; grandchildren, Jeff Lewis and wife Heather, Steve Lewis and wife Holly, Cory Dunn, Ashley Reis and husband Dan; great-grandchildren, Casey Lewis, Steven Lewis, Kayla Lewis, Tayla Lewis, and Faith Lewis; great-great-grandchildren,Wyatt, Rushea, Casim, Bryson and Rylan.

At the request of Marjorie, there will not be any services. Interment will be at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery, Boothbay.
