Maxine McFarland, 76, of Verona Island, died February 6, 2014 at a Bangor Hospital with her loving family by her side. 

She was born February 5, 1938 in Edgecomb, the daughter of Earl and Maebell Page. 

Maxine loved the ocean, combing beaches, rock hounding for gems, yard sales, flea markets, puttering in her flower gardens and enjoyed making all kinds of crafts. She was very fond of her cat Tiger. 

She is survived by and will be missed by her children, Beth Tracy, Barbara Cote, Jamie Thomas and Karen McCaul; grandchildren, Shannon Cote, Chris Bednar, Matthew Cote, Michelle Burns and husband Dekota, Gilbert Neal, Patricia McCaul and Shane McCaul; great-grandchildren, Mabel Bednar, Jordan McCaul, Sage McCaul, Ethan Gorzycki, Noah Gorzycki and looking forward to a new addition to the family, Trinity Burns. She is also survived by five brothers, Neal Page, Earl Page Jr., Henry Page, Stanley Page and Ray Page; one sister, Ethel Fatzinger; as well as many nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her two husbands, Harry Marsden and Marshall McFarland; one son, David Marsden; one sister, Mable Page; and two brothers, Oscar Page and Clyde Page.

At Maxine’s request there will be no services. Arrangements are under the direction of Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Bucksport.
