In an email, Maine Department of Transportation announced Pike Industries would do no work on the Wiscasset Downtown project from July 3 at 6 a.m. until July 8 at 8 p.m. to avoid any conflicts with Fourth of July activities.

After the break, drainage work will continue on Railroad Avenue and Pike Industries will remove the end of the guardrail at the Red’s Eats dining area. The guardrail will be replaced later in the project closer to the bridge.
