On Friday, Nov. 15, from 6 to 8 p.m., the place to be is St. Philip’s Church’s Hall at 12 Hodge St. in Wiscasset. Under the caring direction of Ello Sunshine’s Liz Murphy, participants will have the fun of painting pictures of their beloved pets!

The suggested donation is $35 per registrant. Registrations are due by Nov. 8, as Feed Our Scholars must forward photos of the animals to Ello who will transfer the pictures onto canvases. Because of the individualized attention that Ello provides, the number of participants tops at 30, so register early to ensure your spot in this enjoyable event. To register, go to FeedOurScholars@gmail.com. Leave your name, a phone number where you can be reached, and attach the photo to be painted to your email. Feed Our Scholars will forward the photos to Ello Sunshine. 

If you don’t have email, you can call St. Philip’s at 882-7184 to register. You will need to either send a copy of your photo or drop it by the Church prior to Nov. 8. The photo will be scanned and sent to Ello.

On the 15th, each painter will claim their specific canvas. Liz Murphy Of Ello Sunshine will aid each artist to choose paints to use, then help people bring their artistic visions to fruition. 

Don’t eat dessert before arriving! There will be a sweet table of goodies for buoying your flagging creative juices midway through the evening.  Coffee, tea, and water will round out the offerings.

All this for $35!  Proceeds from the event will go to support the dual programs of Feed Our Scholars: weekend bags of food for participating Wiscasset Elementary children and the Set for Success school supply event each August that provides supplies that students, grades PreK to 12, are requested to have for the start of school.
