She also loved camping, especially at Duck Puddle Campground in Nobleboro in addition to traveling with husband John to such places as Utah and Las Vegas. Among her fondest memories were the frequent trips to Foxwoods or Oxford casinos with her mother, her mother’s friend Russell, her Aunt Ann, as well as her daughter, Alison.

In addition, she leaves behind three brothers, Bob Pontau, Mike Pontau and Scott Pontau, all of Wiscasset, along with half-brother Gerhard “Butch” Pontau of Westbrook; and grandchildren, Brady Duncan of Saco, Kate Benner and Luke Benner, both of Lafayette, Indiana. These are all in addition to the numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews she has throughout the state of Maine.
